Polio Vaccines for children in Africa The World Health Organisation launched a 5 day immunization program in Somalia, Africa. It is for children under 5 years of age so they will not get the polio disease. In many countries children are immunized with this vaccine in their 1st year of life. Thousands of volunteers, health workers and parents are to go house-to-house and village-to-village across the country, to deliver the vaccine.
